I love patterns that are simple but take things up a notch to make them a little more interesting to knit and to use. This pattern for a knit heart dishcloth might be a little plain worked in a solid color, but it’s super pretty in stripes. Bonus: stash busting! I know I always have little bits of yarn left over when I finish a dishcloth or washcloth project, so this would be a perfect way to use them up if you didn’t care if the stripes matched all the way through the project.
Of course, it’s pretty with stripes that are all the same width and in a repeating pattern, too, if you’re into that sort of thing.
