I’m very anxious to see this new DVD, as I’m, with my antique, restored, castle wheel, trying to figure out how to spin exotic stuff like silk, cotton, and siberian husky fur. You know, the “other than wool” stuff. And these technique DVDs are awesome.

Patternmaking With Photoshop

Yesterday I did a post on Craftzine’s Knitted Handlebar Bag. As I was surfing around their site, I found a video showing how to take a digital image and turn it into a knitting pattern. The video shows a skeleton pattern, which is such a cool way to get your Hallowe’en on, however, I think I’d prefer a pumpkin over a skeleton, but with this technique, it’s soooo possible!

I’ve been a bit incommunicado this week due to caring for a child with a horrible ear infection. Hopefully though, I can make it up to you by giving you a little Friday afternoon giggle. Me and a couple of old friends from Knitty Gritty but together this spoof video. It’s the untrue, not really hollywood story of a knitter’s rise, fall and ultimate crafty plateau.
