Giveaway: Knit Jewelry Books

twist and loopWith Valentine’s Day right around the corner, thoughts might turn to adding some new jewelry to your collection. If you don’t have someone who will buy jewelry for you, don’t despair; you can knit your own!

This week’s giveaway features two books that will show you how to do just that: Knitted Wire Jewelry by Samantha A. Lopez and Annie Modesitt’s Twist and Loop. These books are so fun and will teach you how to knit with wire and give you tons of creative ideas for using wire and beads to knit and crochet stunning objects. You’ll learn a lot about jewelry making in general along the way, too.

To win, leave a comment on this post before the end of the day next Tuesday, Jan. 29. If you want, tell me if you have any experience knitting with wire or otherwise knitting jewelry. One winner will be chosen at random from all entries. Good luck!

    I’ve crocheted with silver wire. I plan to knit the next cuff bracelet, but am trying to figure out the best way to attach to the clasp, and some other refinements.

    I love the way crocheted wire comes out. Haven’t tried knitting just yet but it’s a big must do for me.

    Hi Sarah,

    I’ve designed knitted necklaces using regular yarn, but have never knitted with wire. I think the results are beautiful and would love to try. Thanks for another great giveaway!!

    I’ve done some basic crocheting with wire and have done a little “knitting” on a spool to make jewelry.

    I have four pieces of crochet necklaces that are beautiful. They were made by the same artist. NOT ME. I have never tried this form of knitting.

    I love to knit in general and make jewelry, but it would be amazing to learn how to do the knitted jewelry as well. That way I can decorate myself with even more jewelry!! :)

    I’ve crocheted with cassette tape & coated wire, but not bare wire yet. So far, all the designs I’ve seen look like they’d be very uncomfortable to wear.
