Giveaway: Knit Jewelry Books

twist and loopWith Valentine’s Day right around the corner, thoughts might turn to adding some new jewelry to your collection. If you don’t have someone who will buy jewelry for you, don’t despair; you can knit your own!

This week’s giveaway features two books that will show you how to do just that: Knitted Wire Jewelry by Samantha A. Lopez and Annie Modesitt’s Twist and Loop. These books are so fun and will teach you how to knit with wire and give you tons of creative ideas for using wire and beads to knit and crochet stunning objects. You’ll learn a lot about jewelry making in general along the way, too.

To win, leave a comment on this post before the end of the day next Tuesday, Jan. 29. If you want, tell me if you have any experience knitting with wire or otherwise knitting jewelry. One winner will be chosen at random from all entries. Good luck!

would LOVE to win – I’ve done some very beginner-type pieces so would love to learn more advanced ideas!

  2. Helen says

Jewellery making generally, and crocheting with wire in particular, are on my list of things to learn this year. I hasn’t thought of knitting with wire, but now you have me intrigued!

  3. Val F says

I’d love to knit with wire since I’ve never done it. But then I’d have to figure out where to go all decked out with bling!

  4. Mona says

I’ve knitted without beads and I’ve made beaded jewelry without knitting, so it’d be great to do both together :)

  5. Mica Anderson says

I love to knit in general and make jewelry, but it would be amazing to learn how to do the knitted jewelry as well. That way I can decorate myself with even more jewelry!! :)

  6. Charlotte says

I’ve crocheted with cassette tape & coated wire, but not bare wire yet. So far, all the designs I’ve seen look like they’d be very uncomfortable to wear.

Thank you for this opportunity to win the Twist and Loop book. I have been knitting for years and this would be my first jewelry experience. I would love to win your book.

  8. Teresa says

My mom knit with wire a million years ago (like say 50ish) but I never have. It should be on the knitter’s life list . . .

  11. Andrea says

I have knit bracelets with 28 guage wire..boy, it messes up your needles, use a cheap pair you don’t care about!

  12. Jody says

I have knit with wire for jewelry, both with KnitKits kits and on my own. I’m looking for new designs so this would be great!

  13. anne says

I have knit several dozen bracelets with wire and beads. The nicest one had swarovski beads. Too bad I dont wear it much, too much computing and bracelets dont go together well.

  14. Jane S. says

I’ve never knitted or crocheted with wire, but I think it looks amazing and I’d love to learn how to do it!

I have crocheted with thread and beads and made some bracelets and necklaces, but the wire would be really interesting to work with. Thanks for the chance. :)
