Giveaway: Two Books on Knitting for Little Kids

knitters-bible-baby-knits

Congrats to Jowyn for winning this set!

Today’s giveaway is great for the parents and grandparents out there. It’s for two knitting books all about knitting for babies and toddlers.

One winner will receive copies of The Knitter’s Bible: Baby Knits by Laura Long and Cutest Ever Toddler Knits by Val Price.

The baby book has 25 patterns and includes fun information about the yarn choice and design decisions that will help if you want to make changes. There are also suggestions for how you might change the look of a pattern by changing the colors or adding stripes, for example.

The toddler book offers a nice range of basics for bigger kids, though I did have a problem with the sizing guidelines (or, in most cases, lack thereof) in this book. Just so you’ll know.

To be entered for a chance to win these books, leave a comment on this post before the end of the day Sunday, March 23. I’d love to know what your favorite thing is to knit for babies and toddlers. I’m a huge fan of baby blankets and I love mittens and socks for toddlers for some reason (I guess because my daughter hardly ever wears sweaters, so these are quick projects I know she’ll use).

Thanks for visiting and good luck!

Reminds me of old song “Baby, baby can you feel my heart beat.” As you are knitting baby items your heart beats with love for your new baby on the way, and all the goodies you want to make for him or her. Then you start dreaming of how cute they will look in each outfit, and then how about in a different color also, and the list goes on.

Baby blankets as they get so much use, compared to clothes which are soon outgrown! I also love knitting toys for the same reason.
