I have exactly three things to tell you related to Vogue Knitting Live, so we’re going to bunch them all together into one big post, OK? First off, the next installment of this festival of learning, fashion and fibery fun will be taking place in New York City from Jan. 18-20 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square. If you register right now and buy a class or the Times Square Day Tripper or Broadway Baby package, you’ll automatically be registered for a free class on shaping from Debbie Bliss. The class will take place on Friday, Jan. 18, and I’m sure it will be awesome.

vogue knitting liveIf you’re in the New York City area and would like to check VK Live out, I’m giving away a free pass to the marketplace! This will give you access to the vendor shopping areas only, and you’ll be responsible for your own transportation, meals and any other expenses you might have in your travels to and from the event. To enter, leave a comment below. When I did this for Chicago I asked what your favorite thing about that city was, so why don’t you tell me what you love about New York when you enter this one?

This giveaway will be open until the end of the day next Monday (Dec. 17) and I’ll pick a winner at random.

The last bit of Vogue Knitting Live news is that they have just announced dates for a new location for the event next year. They’ll be heading up to Seattle for an event April 5-7 at the Meydenbauer Center. Registration for that event will open early next year, and you can be sure I’ll let you know when it does!

New York has something for everybody. I particularly like the shopping – there are so many unique shops with things I’ve never seen before.

I live in New York City and it’s the music capital of the world. I particularly love the music venues in Greenwich Village!!!

I love the architecture in NYC. I still walk around looking up at all the buildings.

New York is a fascinating place because I grew up in Indiana and I love just walking in the streets. The architecture, museums and YARN SHOPS are always a thrill. I just discovered Habu Textiles the last time I was there in the summer and filled a fairly large basket with yarn. Ahem. My bank account is almost recovered. It will be just in time for Vogue Knitting Live!!!
