Waffle Stitch is a fun and easy knitting stitch pattern that’s great for a washcloth or dishcloth because of the great nubby texture of the stitch.
The stitch is kind of a combination of Stockinette Stitch and ribbing, so it doesn’t need a whole lot of attention, and the results are great. This is a good one for if you’re just learning to knit and need some practice switching between knitting and purling in the same row. It’s good for learning to read your knitting, too.
