Canadian Country Woman has an excellent article (complete with pictures!) on making it easy to knit socks. After you’ve gotten that down, there are tips for the advanced sock maker. With these tips, you can take any yarn and make socks, even worsted weight! (But probably not on size 2 needles, yikes!).
