In the last installment (for now) of Sarah Cleans Out Her E-mail, I’ve got some more sweater patterns for you to consider. I should be sharing a few more roundups of specific kinds of sweaters throughout the month, but I’m on vacation this week so I make no promises.
Lion Brand
The Ribbed Top really caught my eye, though I don’t think I’m comfortable enough with myself to wear something that body-hugging. It’s still really pretty, though!
The Modular Pullover, on the other hand, looks a lot more wearable and it’s a really fun construction technique, too, because you build out squares as you go.
Need a sweater for evening? The Glamour Jacket uses sparkly Vanna’s Choice Glamour and has a really interesting shape that’s sure to wow you in the knitting and everyone else when you wear it.
Tahki Stacy Charles
I love the simplicity of the Debora Pullover, a simple, mostly stockinette, boatneck pullover. It would be great for an everyday sweater, but the wool and mohair mix of the yarn used makes it a little more special.
And if you live somewhere it doesn’t get cold enough for sweaters and are feeling left out, check out the Anais Cowl Collar Vest. It’s a really pretty — and really easy — sleeveless garment you can wear with long or short sleeves underneath as needed.
Are you working on a sweater yet? I’d love to know what’s on your needles.
