While I’m still deep in thinking about summer knitting, Knitty has moved on to thinking early fall already.
Just days after summer’s official start I’m not ready to think about colorwork cowls, giant shawls or cozy hats, but I can get behind a little cardigan with lacy sleeves perfect for summer and fall.
Gibson, designed by Angela Hahn, was inspired by other top-down cardigans with wide front bands that have come in Knittys before. The lace sleeves and cotton yarn give this on an edge that makes it perfect to knit now and wear for a long time to come.
Because winter feels far enough away right now that you can both knit and wear a summer sweater with plenty of time to spare.
Or if you’re in the other part of the world, make this one in the hope that spring is right around the corner!
