It’s well documented that my yarn stash is a mess. And while I’ve never been able to completely document it, that’s something I would like to do. I can’t handle putting it all on Ravelry, but this analog version might work better.
These printable yarn organizing sheets are a great way to keep your yarn stash organized and easily accessible. Not only do they help you keep track of your yarns, but they also make it easy to plan your projects and choose the right yarns for your project without having to dig through your stash.
Using these sheets is simple. All you need to do is print out the number of sheets you need, add the details for each yarn, and punch a hole in the corner of each sheet. Then, thread a little length of the yarn through the hole, so you can see the yarn color and texture.
One of the best features of these sheets is the ability to add information about each yarn. You can add details such as the brand, color, fiber content, and weight, which can be helpful when planning a project. You can also add notes about the yarn, such as if it is a limited edition or if it’s particularly soft or scratchy. This information can help you when choosing yarns for specific projects or when you’re looking to purchase more yarn in the future.
Another useful feature of these sheets is the section for project ideas. You can jot down ideas for projects you want to make with a particular yarn, or you can note down any patterns or tutorials that you’ve found that would be great for that yarn. This can be helpful when you’re looking for inspiration or when you’re trying to use up yarn from your stash.
The sheets are also customizable, which allows you to tailor them to your specific needs and preferences. You can print out as many sheets as you need and add the information that’s important to you.
Another benefit of these sheets is that they can be stored in a three-ring binder, which makes them easy to keep organized and accessible. You can keep all your yarns in one place and easily flip through the pages to find the yarn you need.
These printable yarn organizing sheets are a great tool for any knitter or crocheter looking to keep their yarn stash organized. They are easy to use, customizable, and can help you plan your projects and choose the right yarns. Plus, the fact that they can be stored in a three-ring binder makes them easy to keep organized and accessible. So, if you want to keep your yarns in order and easily accessible, give these printable yarn organizing sheets a try.

I would also add where the ball is located in my stash, because I have little bits in different places throughout the house (mostly my office closet and bedroom closet, but it would still help to know which place to look).
Do you have an organized stash? I’d love to know how you did it!
