I don’t know why the Lyre poncho, designed by Noriko Ho for Quince & Co., makes me think of spring.
Maybe it’s the pretty blue color, with just a hint of robin’s egg. Maybe the little eyelets that suggest that it might be warm again soon.
The yarn is a DK weight, extra-fine merino so it’s also one of those projects that’s warm for cool days but not so hot you’ll want to take it off at the first opportunity.
It’s just a really pretty, easy-to-wear garment. I love the way the neckline folds to make almost a cowl neck. I’m totally not a poncho person but this one might change my mind.
