This cute little hat from Peanut Life Adventures started life as a chemo cap, but you could use the basic pattern for anyone who needs a warmer head, of course.
It’s a really easy roll-brim cap worked in cotton (go with wool if you need it super warm) and would be a great first circular knitting project if you’re in the market for such a thing.
This is also a pretty quick knit so you can knit up a bunch before the weather gets cold, or add it to your charity knitting project rotation.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
