There are so many great shawl patterns out there, and a lot of them really up the skill level with multiple stitch patterns, colors and techniques.
Which is great, unless you’re a newer knitters lacking confidence to dive into all those skills in one project.
The Nobomi Shawl from Bigger than Life Knits uses just two colors, stripes and slipped stitches, and only decreases for shaping, so it’s good for a beginner with a bit of experience or someone with more skills who wants a quick and easy project for themselves or for gift knitting.
You can get the pattern on Ravelry for $7.

I’ve been writing about knitting online for a long time, and a lot of things have changed. But one good thing I think has changed over the years is that fewer people see knitting as a seasonal activity. Most people don’t seem to think anymore that there’s a time when it’s too hot to knit or too hot to wear knits.
