Color blocking is still a really popular technique to add interest to knitting projects (and it can turn any project into a stash buster by sliding in a skein of something different from the main color of the project).
Dayton by Shel Designs adds a square of contrasting color to one side of the front and back of the project, which is worked flat from the bottom up and also includes a high-low split hem.
The project is worked in fingering weight yarn and is available in eight sizes. The boxy fit is intended to be worn with 10 to 12 inches of positive ease.
You can get the pattern from Ravelry or Payhip.
