I love combining different colorways of self-striping or variegated yarns in a project, because it makes the already fun colors even more interesting.
It’s a great way to use odd balls, too, especially if you have little bits of a bunch of different yarns and more of another, you can alternate yarns and the “stripes” look more harmonious.
In the case of this quick and easy ribbed scarf from Berroco, two different colorways of a colorful, tweedy yarn are used in a simple 1×1 rib pattern to add interest to the stripes.
It’s still a pretty fast way to work up a scarf and a great gift idea for that friend who is all about color.
