Circular yokes are fun to knit and somehow make a sweater seem to go faster because you have all this fun stuff to do at the beginning of the project and then it’s smooth (and fast) sailing through the often plain body after the sleeve separation.
Swoon by Susan Lin features a lace yoke that morphs into stripes and textured stitches, and once the sleeves are separated there’s some increasing to give the body a more relaxed, swingy look and feel.
It’s worked in fingering weight yarn and is available in 9 sizes, with a chest measurement ranging from 28 to 60 inches. It’s meant to be worn with 1 to 3 inches of negative ease at the top and 9 to 12 inches of positive ease at the bottom.
You can find the pattern on Ravelry or Payhip.
