I don’t really wear vests in the summer, but it is a great time for them because sometimes you just need a little extra layer that doesn’t add a whole lot of hear.
The Raincheck vest by Elizabeth Smith is a great option if you need to be just a little bit warmer. It’s got a little bit of an A-line shape and is worked from the bottom up in one piece, with a diagonal line of eyelets down one side to make it a little more fun.
The samples are worked in summery yarns but you could totally make a version in wool or another fiber for those days when you need more warmth.
You can grab the pattern on her website or on Ravelry for $6.50.
