I love a chunky garter stitch cowl (I’ve actually designed one and it’s my go-to neck warmer when the weather is cold), so I’m really liking this cowl pattern from the Uniquely UK Blog.
It calls for five different colors of yarn that are worked with two strands held together throughout. Changing one color at a time makes for interesting color mixing.
You could also make this a stash-busting project and just change colors whenever you run out of a particular yarn. That would give you a different but really fun look and help burn through your odd balls, which is always a good thing.
