This time of deep winter is a great time to knit a sweater, and maybe learn a new knitting technique or two.
Brooklyn Tweed is encouraging knitters to do both of those things with its Winter of Colorwork knitalong.
The knitalong is focusing in particular on Gudrun Johnston’s just-released Pascal cardigan pattern, pictured above, but participants are welcome to join in using any colorwork pattern (it doesn’t even have to be a sweater) using Brooklyn Tweed yarn.
Participants can join in the discussion on Ravelry, and follow along through a series of posts on the Brooklyn Tweed blog (you can already check out posts on choosing colors and swatching, which are handy for any kind of colorwork project).
Have you ever participated in a sweater knitalong or a skill-building knitalong? I’d love to hear about it!
