You all know I like to knit for little kids (being as I have one, and I wrote a book of baby knits) and I’m in love with the new collection BT Kids from Brooklyn Tweed.
they’re known for great designs that are classic and modern at the same time, wearable, with beautiful details that make them fun to knit an delightful to wear. All of that is true of this collection as well (check out the lookbook for more details).
Some of my favorites include Winslow by Julie Hoover, an adorable penguin-bedecked pillow that would be a great first intarsia project; Jared Flood’s Atlas Cardigan, a bold, circular-yoke pattern for girls (a pullover colored for boys is also included); the lovely and colorful Pinwheel hat and mitten set by Véronik Avery, shown in colors for girls and boys; and Michelle Wang’s Petal, perfect for a princess tea party.
There are a lot of great heavily cabled projects here as well as fun colorwork. Patterns are sized for kids ages two to 10, and range in price from $6.50 to $7 for individual pattern downloads.
See anything you like? I’d love to hear about it!
