Kerry over at Star-Shaped and Shiny sent me a head’s up about some new patterns she’s selling for cat rugs. There’s one shaped like a cat (of course!), a frog and a fish (Sid Sardine, if you must know).
These cute patterns are available through her Etsy shop, and look relatively easy since they’re mostly garter stitch.
Profits from the pattern sales go to Blue Cross, a charity in the UK that cares for homeless animals. What could be better?

Not too long ago I did a test knit for another designer that was for a cabled cardigan. It’s really cozy and nice but it just about broke me in a ton of different ways. I couldn’t get gauge, which I suppose is my own problem, but mainly I was somehow both bored and forced to pay attention at the same time.
