“These wonderful beads are handmade using discarded glass bottles, dishes, fan blades & other used found glass. The glass is crushed into a powder, then pressed into a porcelain cast to shape the bead. The stem of a cassava leaf is used to form the hole as the beads are baked in a furnace, the powdered glass melts to fuse into the shape of the bead, and the cassava leaf burns away, leaving only the hole.
Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
