“These wonderful beads are handmade using discarded glass bottles, dishes, fan blades & other used found glass. The glass is crushed into a powder, then pressed into a porcelain cast to shape the bead. The stem of a cassava leaf is used to form the hole as the beads are baked in a furnace, the powdered glass melts to fuse into the shape of the bead, and the cassava leaf burns away, leaving only the hole.
