Another week, another finished object (this is not going to be an every week thing, I’m sure of it).
I recently finished Norah Gaughan’s Silverberg sweater pattern, which was designed for Berroco. The original was a short-sleeved, giant cowled sweater worked in a fluffy blend of alpaca, nylon and wool.
I made mine long-sleeved (I just did one extra decrease on the sleeves and knit to a length I wanted) and used a wool yarn I had in my stash (Rowan Chunky Print, which has been discontinued). Check out my version on Ravelry and the original project page, where you can buy the pattern for $6.
I feel like it came out bigger than I meant it, and that cowl is crazy huge, but I still really like it and it’s super warm and cozy, perfect for the last cold days of winter.
Have you finished any projects lately? I’d love to hear about it!
Specific to knitters, you can join our Knitting Patterns Only group to get, well, knitting patterns, ask questions and gain inspiration for what to knit next.
