There are so many fun fall and Halloween themed knitting projects out there, but if you don’t know how to (or don’t like to) knit in the round you can find yourself limited in the kinds of patterns you can make.
Gina Michele stitched up this cute spider made entirely of pieces knit flat. Then you stuff and sew the pieces together and to each other to form the spider shape.
It might make the finishing bits take a little longer than if you’d worked in the round, but none of the pieces are very big and working it all flat makes this a great beginner project that’s sure to get some knitters sucked into the world of knit holiday decor.
You can get the free pattern from Gina Michele’s blog.
