I love the look of the floats on the wrong side of a stranded knitting pattern. I once bought a sweater that was meant to be worn with the floats out, and while I always thought I should knit something like that on purpose I’ve never done so.
The Floatside Top from Wool & Pine is just such a garment. It’s worked from side to side, with Latvian braids accenting colorwork that is worked so that the floats are on the outside.
It comes in 10 sizes and uses fingering weight yarn. You can buy it direct from Wool & Pine or on Ravelry.
