I saw this pattern for “Baby Frog Legs” (legwarmers) on Facebook and I just had to share it because fat little baby legs in handknit legwarmers make me smile.
That’s probably because custom legwarmers were one of the first things I ever knit for my little preemie’s tiny legs, and the colorful yarn I used was similar to that shown in this pattern from Lauren Dahl.
I actually still have a bunch of that yarn I always meant to make baby pants out of. Maybe some more legwarmers are in order. Maybe a matching mother-daughter set?

That site doesn’t seem to exist anymore. The original post was from 2013 and pages do go away from time to time. You can go to archive.org and search for the pattern page (http://laurendahl.com/free-knitting-pattern-baby-frog-legs/) to find it.
