I’m kind of obsessed with little shawls right now. I am not a lacy kind of girl. I don’t have the patience to knit it or the lifestyle to wear it. But I love a little shawl that’s not too dainty and that you can throw over your shoulders on a coolish evening or where almost like a scarf when it’s truly cold out.
So I’m thinking I’m going to have to add Kirsten Hipsky’s High Plains Drifter to my knit list. This pattern, available as a free download from Ravelry, is called simple and barely a pattern, which is about what my brain can handle these days. It’s worked in garter stitch with strategically placed increases that drift across the fabric, giving the shawl a spiral shape. So cool!
