I love knitting patterns that are simple but also have really nice details that make it worth the time and effort you put into them. We all want to knit things that we’re actually going to wear and use, right?
If I had any time right now, I would totally be casting on the Park Ave. Cardigan by Kelly Daniels, aka One Crafty Mama, available as a free Ravelry download. This cutie only comes in one size — 37 inches — but it is meant to be worn open so it would actually work on a wider range of people than that sounds like.
It’s a straightforward, top-down raglan cardigan with a shawl collar added at the end and deep ribbing at the hem and cuffs. This would be a great project for fall and spring and a good way to try out top-down knitting if you haven’t already done it.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
