While most of the country sits in the cold, longing for cozy knits to warm us up, Brooklyn Tweed and Quince & Co. have both delivered with excellent winter knits collections.
First up, BT Winter 14, a collection of 15 sweaters and other warm garments. I actually pinned Benton, the oversized striped boyfriend sweater by Julie Hoover, before I even realized this is where it came from. I’ve also got my eye on Jared Flood’s Kelpie, described as a modern triangular Hap shawl, it features little bits of lace worked in stripes that are just lovely.
Nord, a V-neck pullover with an accent cable on the front and designed by Véronik Avery, would be a great addition to anyone’s winter wardrobe as well. View the full look book for more details. Individual patters are $6.50 to $7.
The new Quince & Co. collection is called stripes, and it includes six winter accessories — hats and mitts for men and women, as well as a cowl and a scarf — all of which include stripes, of course. The full collection is $7, and it’s a lovely little set of patterns that you could knit again and again, with or without stripes.
See anything you like? I’d love to hear about it!
