Over this:

A knitted village! Not that it’s particularly funny, or even ridiculous, it’s kind of cool. Actually it’s really cool! Complete with people, cars, flowers, all knitted! Even the roads are knitted. The more I look at it, the more I like it.
A knitted village. You have to see the whole thing, here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/8017645.stm
So why shake my head and laugh? I love to see new concepts in knitting, love the ideas that come out of these very creative people, but I’d just never have the time to do this. Although, if you’re thinking a nice Winter village nestled under the Christmas Tree… that might have some merit. Cool!
There’s no pattern that I could find unfortunately, and it’s being sold off piece by piece to benefit the local town hall and also because it’s becoming too large to transport.
I mentioned the other day that there are, or at least it feels like there are, a lot more options for knitting garments to wear in the summer, and I want to share as many of them as I can, but it’s sometimes hard to classify them in a way that makes sense. Thus the collection of knit summer tops with fun necklines. Enjoy.
