I don’t know if it’s exactly the season for hat knitting, since it’s finally getting warm where I live, but I say hat knitting knows no season, especially when it’s a fun and challenging knit like this.
The Walanda hat from Katrin Schubert is a great choice for fans of brioche. It’s maybe not a great choice for people who’ve never knit brioche before, but if you’ve got a few patterns under your needles and are ready for a new challenge, this is a great option.
I love how the ridges make sort of a heart shape. This hat is super squishy, warm and comfortable and should fit a range of heads since brioche is pretty stretchy.
You can get the pattern on Ravelry for €4, or a little less than $5 as of this writing.
