Mohair can be a little fiddly but the look of a finished piece worked in mohair or with mohair and other yarns is really lovely. It feels great and you get that fun kind of see-through look that’s really interesting and different from a lot of knit items.
The Autumn Mist Shawl from Lisa K. Ross uses stripes of mohair and more structured yarns in a gradient color scheme to make her crescent-shaped shawl all the more delightful.
It’s lightweight for those fall days when it’s still warm in the afternoon, but warm enough for those evenings when the temperatures dip in no time, too.
I love the little picot edging as well. It’s extra work but such a fun detail that really makes the shawl something special.
You can get this pattern on Ravelry for $7.
