Some people get excited about sweater weather, and I guess I do, too (though I really wear sweaters for most of the year), but I particularly love when it gets cold enough to snuggle under knit blankets.
The bonus part of knitting a blanket in the fall is that it can keep you warm while you’re knitting it.
Using a basic recipe, this video, written tutorial, and worksheet from Vickie Howell shows how to design and knit a blanket using any weight yarn and any stitch pattern for any sized blanket.
So let your imagination go wild, pick a yarn and stitch pattern and get to knitting!
