OK, this does not have to do with knitting at all, but we knitters do tend to have excess yarn hanging about from time to time, and one fun and seasonally appropriate way to use some of it is to make yarn wigs for Halloween or dress up.
This post from Made Everyday shows how to make four basic yarn wigs that would work for characters from Cleopatra to Rainbow Brite, Jesse from Toy Story to Pippi Longstocking.
They’re pretty simple to make and such a cute addition to a costume for a kid or an adult.
Are you planning any handmade Halloween costumes? I’d love to hear about it!
