Knit a Bookmark that Looks Like a Yarn Ball

April 26, by Sarah White. Leave a Comment

knit a yarn ball bookmarkDid you know April is National Public Library Month? We go to the library at least once a week, so we don’t need any special time to celebrate it, but if you haven’t been to your local library in a while, you might want to schedule a visit soon.

And when you get your new books to read, you’ll need a bookmark or two, right? Check out this really cute yarn ball bookmark from purl3agony. It’s another I-cord project, with the cord being sewn into a ball shape.

Add little knitting needles (toothpicks or a skewer with beads glued to the ends) and attach to a piece of elastic that wraps around the book to hold your place.

You could also use the “ball” with needles as a brooch or a pin to decorate your knitting bag, or as a gift topper for a fiber-loving friend.
