Dishcloths and washcloths are a lot of fun to knit, so why not add a little more knitting to the kitchen? The Leisure Arts booklet Dishcloth Dresses by Debbie Trainor has 12 patterns for little “dresses” you can knit out of kitchen cotten to dress up your dish soap bottle.
These fun little dresses have names like Going Dancing and Prom Date, and they’re really easy and quick to knit. Use up scrap yarn and make a bunch to give your soap bottle a new look, or to fancy up a housewarming gift of fancy liquid soap.
The printed book retails for $5.99, and as of this writing the ebook was $3. Since each pattern is $2.99 by itself, that’s a great deal!
Would you ever knit a dishcloth dress? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

My mom always dressed her little bottles of ivory liquid. I certainly would have knit a dress for her… and I might knit one in her memory.
