Since it’s been in the 80s most of this week, I am definitely thinking about summer knitting.
Desertbloom, a pretty free pattern from Berroco, would be the perfect thing to add to your queue if you like knitting — and still wearing knits — in the summer.
This tunic-length short-sleeved top has lace panels at the top and bottom and side slits for extra breathability.
It’s worked in Maya, a lovely cotton yarn/alpaca chain yarn that’s shiny and silky and fun to wear. I’ve played with it a bit and really enjoyed it.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
