Tanis Gray recently released a super cute little heart pattern that you can download for free and stitch up for all your gratitude-showing needs this holiday season.
Her versions are worked in little bits of fingering weight yarn, but you could use whatever scraps you have on hand and a slightly smaller-than-the-ball-band-calls-for knitting needles so whatever you stuff them with doesn’t show through.
They’re worked in the round in stockinette stitch and are a quick little project to use as a decoration on the tree, to decorate a gift bag or to give to a teacher or someone else who deserves a little love. And of course keep this pattern on hand for Valentine’s Day, birthdays and any other situation in which knitting a heart — or a bunch — might be appropriate.
