Berroco has a new yarn, Andean Mist, that’s a blend of suri alpaca and mulberry silk. Just looking at it — not even touching it, which I’m sure is even better — makes you want to knit with it.
Luckily, Berroco has a great free pattern if you want to try it out. Collier is a top down lace beret designed by Norah Gaughan for intermediate knitters. It uses almost exactly one ball (you can make yours a little shorter if you’re using more yarn) so it’s a great way to try out the yarn and get a sweet little hat that’s perfect for fall in the process. This would also be a good one for gift knitting if you’re thinking about that yet.

This knitted hat pattern is really pretty! I think I’m going to enjoy stitching it!
