Every now and then I have a chance to do some knitting for our sister site, CraftBits, which has a great collection of holiday-themed and other projects across a spectrum of crafts. I’m so happy to share with you my latest contribution to the site, because it was so much fun and came out pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.
The Mario and Princess Knit Scarf is exactly what it sounds like: one end features a Mario (and a classic tube from the original video game), while the other is embellished with his princess. In between you’ll find hearts floating up to meet in the middle.
I’m not going to lie, the colorwork on this one is a little intense in the beginning (and end), but those parts go really fast and the main part of the scarf is really easy. But it’s a dramatic way to show your geeky love for someone, for Valentine’s Day or any other day.
Do you knit geek-inspired projects? I’d love to hear about them!
