Have a little bit of left over sock yarn from a project, or just want to play with some yarn and make a quick and easy gift for someone or a way to wear yarn when it’s warm outside?
Try this necklace knitting pattern from the Chilly Dog. It involves casting on a whole lot of stitches, working in stockinette in the round briefly, then binding off again. Because it’s worked in stockinette, it curls, making it look like a big loop of I-cord.
(Incidentally, you could just knit a giant I-cord if you’d rather. Knitting it as a loop might actually be a bit faster, though, because you don’t have to manipulate the needles as much.)
This is a great idea for a quick(ish) little gift for someone who lives in a warmer climate, or for a teenager who loves to add color to her outfits.
