As soon as the weather starts getting a little cooler in the fall — which just happened this week in Arkansas! — I start to get the urge to cover the entire house in handknits. It’s never too early to pull out the knit throws and wooly socks, I say.
But won’t your table get chilly when the weather turns cooler, too? OK, maybe not really, but a knit table runner is a great thing to make for fall, and perfect if your decor tends toward the rustic country farmhouse look.
This simple table runner from Savvy Apron is worked in bulky yarn and is just a big knit rectangle, so it will take no time at all to knit. It’s basically a blanket for your table and it looks so good with fall accessories on the table (though depending on the color it would be great for the holiday season, too).
Have you ever knit a table runner?
