Of all the things I’ve made for my daughter, the favorite without question is the blanket I made for her bed with Bernat Blanket yarn. This yarn is so soft and fluffy and cozy, it’s really like being wrapped up in a hug.
This Bear-y Cozy Knit Blanket uses Blanket yarn, and while it’s made for a baby you could make it bigger for older kids as well. Or change the ears and the face to make it a different kind of animal if you like (such as a cat or a dog).
Whatever way you knit it, the recipient and parents alike are sure to love it, and it will become a treasured (and even better because it’s machine washable) snuggly for years to come.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
