One of the big trends in fashion lately has been geometric shapes and a sort of Native American feel. Jordana Paige combines both of these in a fun but easy colorwork project, her Aztec Infinity Scarf.
The whole thing is worked in garter stitch and uses intarsia to place the triangular shapes that decorate the surface. That makes the finished scarf look good on both sides, which is important when you don’t want to spend a lot of time arranging your scarf just so when you put it on.
This is a really pretty project in neutral shades, but I’ll bet it would be great with one bright color, too. Maybe turquoise, or add another trend and knit it in purple?

It feels like it’s too early to be thinking about back to school, but as I write this my daughter has just a couple of weeks of summer left! So let’s get in that school and fall knitting spirit by looking at some apple knitting projects.
