I kind of have a thing for hats that look like animals, especially for kids. It’s my theory that a cute hat like that will encourage a kid to wear it.
I have a collection of pint-sized animal hats over at About, including a dog, bunny and cat.
But why should kids get all the fun? Berroco Yarns certainly doesn’t think they should, and its proven it with the release of the free pattern Catarina, which is a cat-faced (and -eared) hat for grownups.
This is a nice and easy patten that would make a great plain hat as well, but the addition of knit ears and an embroidered face makes it a lot more fun.
Would you wear an animal hat? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
