Drop stitch is such a fun and easy knitting technique that instantly makes a project more summery because it makes the knit fabric more breathable.

Mama in a Stitch has a great pattern for a cotton kimono knit with drop stitch. It’s an easy, casual pattern that’s great for a little cover in summer. Think cool evenings on the beach or over-air-conditioned stores and restaurants.

It’s worked in two panels and would be great travel knitting, too, if your summer plans take you on the road.
