In continuing coverage of “soon it will be fall in the Northern Hemisphere,” I bring to you this pattern for classic legwarmers from My Poppet, who is from Australia, so go ahead and knit them for spring if you’re in the southern part of the world.
This is a super simple pattern, worked in the round, with a change to a larger-sized needle instead of working increases to accommodate more width at the top of the thigh. This would also be easy to alter if you have bigger (or skinnier) legs, and she’s even got a tip for knitting them flat if you’d rather.
I’ve knit legwarmers before, but I’ll admit I never wear them because I’d rather just put on handmade socks. How do you feel about legwarmers?
