We’ve all been there: you spend a lot of your time (and some hard-earned money as well) knitting a garment that looks awesome on the model or in the pictures, but when you’re finished it just doesn’t look quite right on you. This is sometimes a gauge issue, of course, but sometimes we pick projects that just don’t look quite right on our bodies.
Zontee from the Lion Brand Yarn blog has some tips and project suggestions to help us all avoid that problem in her post about dressing to flatter your body. She notes that it’s a good idea to highlight the part of your body that is the smallest, to knit things that have some shape to them and to be bold when it comes to color choices.
What do you think of this advice? Do you have any horror stories about garments that just didn’t work out? We’d all love to hear them!
