As much as I love knitting from other people’s patterns, so I don’t have to make any choices or do much math, sometimes it’s fun to have more options than a single pattern might give you.
The Staycation from Tif Neilan is perfect for the person who wants to see options because there are actually two versions. They are drop shoulder sweaters knit from the top down, meant to be a little oversized, but there is a marled version for when you want to keep the knitting super simple and a colorwork version if you want a little more work to do (but don’t worry — it’s mosaic slip stitch colorwork so actually super easy to do).
Both are bulky (though the marled version uses two strands held together) and available in nine sizes from 36.5 to 72 inches. It’s meant to be worn with 4 to 12 inches of positive ease.
There are sleeveless and long sleeved options as well, so it’s quite the choose-your-own-adventure of a a knitting pattern. Actually two patterns. You can buy the marled version or the colorwork version seperately on Ravelry for $8 each or bundle them for $10 total. (Just make sure you add both to your cart before you check out and the price will automatically adjust.)
Which one would you knit? I like them both!
