Over the years here I’ve shared lots of fun Valentine’s Day knitting projects, including:
I also have a selection of Valentine’s Day knitting projects I designed over at About.
So this year I wanted to offer some different ideas that you might want to knit to use this time of year or to give as gifts to a friend or a sweetheart.
Let’s see what I came up with.
I love the Book Lover Valentine and Valentine Heart Bookmark by Anita Grahan and Linda Dawkins, respectively. Great for friends who love to read along with a gift card to their favorite store or some great tea, perhaps?
Linda Dawkins also has an adorable bow and arrow pattern that would be so sweet for kids. My girl is rather into Merida right now and actually made herself a pretend bow yesterday, so I think I’ll be making one of these! Miss Aine’s cute Valentine Wand would be another good one for the little ones on your list.
Lion Brand Yarn has a cute little striped pouch that would be great for tucking in a little gift. Or you could make a bigger version to cover a hot water bottle. Almost as good as giving a hug.
This Valentine Dishcloth from Kayleen Clements is a sweet way to wash dishes or yourself, but it would be a cute wall hanging, too.
If your taste runs a little more traditional, try the Valentine Mittens from Milla H. (in English and Finnish) or the Valentine Heart Socks using self-patterning yarn from Abigail Grosso.
You know your friends and family really just want wine for Valentine’s Day, right? Fancy it up a bit with the Valentine Wine pattern from Jolene Mosley. You can even add beads to make it extra fancy.
Have you ever knit anything for Valentine’s Day? My daughter says I need to knit a scarf for my husband! I’d love to know if you’re working on anything special for the holiday.
